PRIVACY & DATA HANDLING
Privacy and data handling in remote CCTV monitoring.
The complete CCTV archive normally remains on the client-controlled DVR or NVR; reporting uses only the relevant incident evidence required by the agreed scope.
Remote viewing should be purposeful, authorised and limited. iSurveillanz works with the client to define permitted camera views, incident priorities, report recipients, evidence handling and retention expectations before service delivery.
Client-controlled recordings
The client retains responsibility for CCTV equipment, recordings, access permissions and lawful camera use. iSurveillanz uses authorised remote access to view relevant live or recorded footage from the existing system.
The service does not routinely download or duplicate the complete CCTV archive. Access is for the agreed surveillance review and reporting purpose.
Incident-specific evidence
When a relevant observation is identified, an authorised professional may capture a necessary image or short screen recording covering the specific incident period. The evidence is reviewed and attached to a structured report where required.
The scope should define who may receive the report, the approved delivery channel and how long incident evidence should remain available. No universal retention duration is claimed on this page.
Written safeguards and onboarding
A Non-Disclosure Agreement can form part of onboarding to define confidentiality, authorised access, permitted use and protection of surveillance information. It is a contractual safeguard supported by controlled operational access and reporting procedures—not a promise that every possible data incident is technically impossible.
The written SOP, account permissions and named recipients help keep monitoring and evidence use aligned with the client-approved purpose.
Client compliance responsibilities
Clients remain responsible for establishing an appropriate lawful basis, notices, permissions and onsite compliance for their CCTV system and requested monitoring requirements. Requirements involving sensitive areas or face-related evidence need additional written assessment.
Website enquiries are handled separately: information is shared with iSurveillanz only when the visitor explicitly continues through an available contact method such as WhatsApp or email.
